PROJECT INFORMATION
Conceived as a “Forest in a Pot,” the interiors of The Orchid Hotel, Pune offer a striking counterpoint to its brutalist terracotta-tiled facade. While the exterior evokes strength and permanence, the interiors unfold into a refreshing, immersive world inspired by biophilic design. Every surface from the textures and jalis to materials and prints, echoes elements of nature. A dramatic chandelier with prints of tree branches and leaves floats above the coffee bar, casting soft silhouettes that anchor the double-height lobby in warmth and light.
One of the most memorable spatial experiences is the Boulevard Passage, imagined as a floral promenade. Here, a series of orchid-inspired elements arch overhead, making guests feel as if they are walking beneath a canopy of flowers. Artworks of falling leaves and nature-inspired detailing enhance this sensorial journey. Accents of brushed gold finishes are layered throughout to lend a quiet luxury and refinement, tying nature and elegance into a unified design narrative.
The guest rooms, each themed around the changing seasons, complete the experience—offering a sensory escape that brings guests closer to nature while retaining the comforts of premium hospitality design.
