The Zestful Baaz project is a pioneering concept that re-imagines state entrance infrastructure, transforming the traditional two-dimensional gate into a monumental, three-dimensional sculptural space. Acknowledging Punjab’s rapid development and the exuberant spirit of its populace, the design is a direct architectural translation of the State Bird, The Baaz, a powerful symbol of strength and determination. The structure is strategically oriented parallel to the approach road, offering an immersive and experiential threshold that signifies the state’s forward momentum.

The design is rooted in the abstracted image of a flying Baaz, which is developed into an intricate, doubly curved volume using the form of a Hyperbolic Paraboloid. This sophisticated geometry is realized through a modular system of interlocking cubes. Rising “a module at a time,” the form symbolizes the unity and brotherhood of Punjab’s people. This approach delivers an iconic, self-referential landmark that celebrates the region’s cultural zeal while establishing a new benchmark for future-ready infrastructure and civic expression.
