PROJECT INFORMATION
House of liberation – A perfect blend of tradition and modernity.
Set in the heart of Bandra, this home is a serene yet striking blend of tradition and modernity — designed for a Jain family with deep-rooted values and a love for the sea. The design draws on Jain symbols like Shrivatsa, Minayugala, and Darpana, subtly woven into the architecture to honour the family’s beliefs. At the same time, its coastal setting inspired the use of water as a central design theme — from wave-like CNC cut Satvario marble at the dining wall to delicate mother-of-pearl inlays in the mandir, and brass accents that thread the story together.
The home balances spirituality and sophistication. A mirrored feature wall in the living room visually doubles the space, while an elegant backdrop of Azul and fluted Satvario marble lends it a quiet grandeur. One of the most flexible elements is the guest bedroom — designed with a foldable partition and Murphy bed, it transforms seamlessly from an open entertaining zone to a private sleeping space. The master bedroom exudes luxury with an Alexander green marble wall, while the son’s room adds a soft, sculptural touch with crystal cube lights at the bed’s backdrop. Each ceiling tells its own story — from the radiating waves in the guest room to pearl-shell-inspired forms elsewhere — culminating in a living room ceiling that acts as a chandelier in itself. A thoughtful interplay of symbols, elements, and textures makes this home a unique expression of identity and environment.
